Tehani Egodawela is a Leading Woman Communicator who has been representing the Sri Lanka Navy Musketry Pool since 2011 and has been selected as the best shooter 07 times, representing the National Pool since 2012. In addition, she has represented Sri Lanka in many overseas competitions and has exhibited excellent performances. In such backdrop, the Olympics qualified Navy markswoman continues to train under the supervision of Captain (Naval Infantry) RA Raymond, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Navy Musketry Pool and she is coached by Master Chief Petty Officer (Retired) UM Premalal. Reportedly, a bus transporting employees of a tea factory had toppled after it veered off the road near the 13th Mile Post area on the Ratnapura-Kalawana road. The individuals injured in the accident have been admitted to the Ratnapura Hospital. However, their conditions are not critical, according to hospital sources. Police investigations into the incident are currently underway.

According to the available information, the fish had died due to poisoning, the Minister said. COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested 914 people for violating the quarantine rules and regulations on Saturday (29), the highest number of arrests made in a single day. Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said a total of 17,300 people were arrested since the 30th of October 2020 for violating the quarantine rules and regulations. On Saturday (29), the Matara Police arrested 171 people and Nikaraweratiya Police arrested 116 people. Also on Saturday, Sri Lanka Police inspected 4324 three-wheelers in the Western Province and 25 people were arrested for violation of the quarantine regulations while 20 three-wheelers were seized. 2,389 people were inspected at the 14 Entry & Exit points of the Western Province on Saturday (29), said the Police Spokesperson.

The late Thero was being treated at a private hospital in Matara. Minister (Dr.) Ramesh Pathirana said the Thero had returned to his temple following treatment and was once against hospitalized after suffering a lung infection, and thereafter he had passed away.
