A car slammed into the front of the Ali Baba Persian Restaurant on Monday. Police were on scene Monday afternoon in Granada Hills after a Tesla driver lost control and careened into the Ali Baba Persian Restaurant. The crash occurred at lunchtime, but despite the chaotic scene, no injuries were reported among restaurant staff, patrons or the driver, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The front of the Tesla struck the concrete exterior of the building and sustained major damage. They did not confirm if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident, though no arrests were made.

It included a bus tour of “Data Center Alley” in Northern Virginia, the world’s largest collection of data centers. “We want to see this damn data center go away and go someplace else,” said Allen Prather, who was leading the petition drive dressed as Santa.

Playmakers Pizza and Pub, a pizzeria and family-friendly sports bar, aims to open in early spring on Warren Avenue. The new bar and restaurant will be located at 512 Warren Ave., adjacent to the Portland Sports Complex in a space that formerly hosted Turf’s Sports Pub. Minervino said Playmakers will cater to the crowds at the sports complex, which regularly hosts tournaments for youth and adult athletic leagues. Pizzas will be the focus of the menu, including a 10-inch bar-style pan pizza, 16-inch thin and crispy pizza, and pizza by the slice. Minervino said Playmakers will sell a variety of grab-and-go items on the weekends to meet the needs of all-day youth sports tournaments.
