This Dubai chocolate cake is inspired by the irresistible combination of chocolate, pistachio and buttery toasted kataifi. You start by making a simple, moist chocolate cake, and then while that cake is baking and cooling, grind up some pistachios with butter and some sugar, and fold in some butter-toasted kataifi. The ganache is rich and delicious, and makes this cake look really elegant for a party. The last step is to sprinkle lots of beautiful green pistachios over the top.

Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Trump must seek congressional approval before engaging in war with Venezuela, as required by the U.S. Constitution. A bipartisan congressional investigation has begun regarding Hegseth's role in ordering U.S. military strikes on small boats in the waters off Venezuela that have killed scores of people. On Friday, Trump told NBC News it is possible the U.S. could go to war with Venezuela, as his administration continues to ramp up pressure on Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro. We’re going to make cookie-cutter cookies, and decorate them and make them super cute. The most important thing you’re doing when you’re choosing your cutters is you want to do a single tray of cookies of all the same size if you want them to cook at the same rate. I’m going to really lightly dust the cutter. I actually prefer baking my cookies on a cookie sheet because as you can see, there’s only a rim on one edge. Beatriz, a survivor of sexual abuse at FCI Dublin who has since been deported, previously articulated how stressful it would be to have to go back to the prison. Nearly 40 people spoke in opposition to the reopening of FCI Dublin during the public comment portion of the council meeting. Instead, the government chose not to protect the majority of immigrant survivors who came forward about the rampant sexual abuse at FCI Dublin.

Donald Trump made it clear when he was reelected last year that he was in it for revenge, power and hate. Instead of encouraging people to get vaccinated against deadly diseases, federal public health agencies are now leading the anti-science charge. The immigration system has long been plagued by inefficiencies, arbitrariness and racism, but the Trump administration has made an already-flawed system even more inhumane. Federal judges have since called the deployments illegal, ordering the troops to leave, but the Trump administration is appealing their rulings in higher courts. For the Trump administration — specifically, Elon Musk — it mattered most as an easy target.
