Most people are always going to get a little nervous when a cop locks eyes with them and starts walking over. Even if you’re just sitting in a coffee shop, minding your own business, breaking no laws ... wearing a “Veterans Against Trump” T-shirt. Our brains begin scanning for the categories before we even realize it: who’s safe, who’s suspect, who’s “one of us.” Once that happens, truth becomes secondary to pattern recognition. The only issue, he said, is that Republicans don’t talk about it enough. “They have this new word called ‘affordability,’” Trump explained during a Fox News interview. “And they don’t talk about it enough.”Trump: We've done so much, energy is way down. They have this new word called affordability and they don't talk about it enough. “Energy is way down, look at energy, we’re gonna have $2 gasoline,” Trump said.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump on Wednesday fell back on a favorite excuse to explain Republicans’ disastrous performance in Tuesday’s off-year election: It wasn’t his fault, notwithstanding exit polls that said otherwise. Among the 8% who “somewhat disapproved” of Trump, the vote was 67-31 in favor of Sherrill. Politics: Fox Crowned Melania Trump ‘Patriot Of The Year’ And You Know What Happened Next“We won a tremendous election. Newsom undertook the ballot question to counter Trump’s demand that Texas draw new lines to give Republicans more House seats there. The only election result Trump spoke about was the mayoral race in New York City, his hometown, which democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani won.

LOADING ERROR LOADINGHeritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts admitted that he’d “made a mistake” regarding his staunch defense of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson after his softball interview with white supremacist Nick Fuentes, The Washington Free Beacon reports. “I made a mistake and I let you down and I let down this institution and I am sorry for that. Full stop,” Roberts said during a Wednesday meeting with staff of the conservative think tank, according to video obtained by the Beacon. In it, he argues that critics of Carlson’s interview with Fuentes, a Holocaust denier, are part of a “venomous coalition” trying to “cancel” the right-wing media personality. Neuhaus, someone Roberts characterized as a “good man” who also made a “mistake,” resigned late last week amid the uproar over the organization’s statement.

LOADING ERROR LOADINGJustices at the Supreme Court appeared deeply skeptical Wednesday about whether President Donald Trump has the authority to impose tariffs without congressional approval. “The vehicle is imposition of taxes on Americans, and that has always been the core power of Congress,” he said. “So to have the president’s foreign affairs power trump that basic power for Congress seems to me to kind of at least neutralize between the two powers, the executive power and the legislative power.”Advertisement“We’re not saying this is the power to tax, this is regulatory,” Sauer insisted. (Trade deficits with foreign trade partners have been, in fact, quite regular over the past 50 years.) But even a loss may not deter Trump from acting: The administration has other means available to impose tariffs beyond IEEPA, including provisions of the 1930 Tariff Act.

AdvertisementHe continued, “New York will remain a city of immigrants, a city built by immigrants, powered by immigrants and, as of tonight, led by an immigrant.
