Meet Zayd Badar: The 13-year-old California student who washed about 60 cars, raised $2,100 and set aside half of every sale for local charities

According to a report by local news platform Dublin Patch, Badar has cleaned around 60 vehicles since launching the business on July 8. By setting aside 50 per cent of his earnings, he raised $1,000 for local community organisations within weeks. Badar runs the business from his family home in Dublin, but also travels to customers' homes to clean their vehicles when requested. During the previous winter holiday season, the student organised a gift drive for low-income and unhoused students in the Dublin Unified School District. “I am doing this because I wanted to learn entrepreneurship while also learning to give back to my community,” Badar told Dublin Patch.
