'Racing, doing stunts': Kalyan Bainsla’s lawyer calls Gurgaon biker crash ‘negligence’, not hit-and-run

(With inputs from ANI)GURGAON: The lawyer of accused car driver Kalyan Bainsla on Tuesday claimed the woman biker and other riders involved in the Golf Course Road crash were racing, speeding and performing stunts, arguing that the incident was a case of negligence and not hit-and-run.“They were racing against each other. There was a large group of bikers—about 20-30 riders. Instead of following road rules, they were speeding and performing stunts,” Bainsla's advocate Naveen Bainsla told ANI.The lawyer claimed the bikers were also taunting and harassing other vehicles and provoking them to race or overtake.“The collision between the car and the bike occurred simply because of the speed at which they were driving. They were racing at high speeds, lost control, and the vehicles collided,” the lawyer said.Bainsla, a gym owner who describes himself as an international kabaddi player, has earlier denied deliberately hitting the woman biker and said he was travelling with his sister and two cousins at the time.Sia has maintained that the car followed her and hit her motorcycle before leaving the spot.
