During a phone-in with DMC satellite channel on Sunday, Haddad said that most studies have said that taking two different vaccines on the same day has many health risks as the immune system’s response is not guaranteed and could even react violently. He noted that some countries have conducting experiments on mixing vaccines by taking the first dose of a particular vaccine, and taking the second dose of another type. “The combination of coronavirus vaccines and taking two different types at the same time causes health risks,” he added.

CAIRO – 25 October 2021: The Egyptian -Sudanese military exercise, dubbed "Guardian of the South-1" that kicked off on October 19, still taking place at Mohamed Naguib Military Base. The exercise, which kicked off last week is expected to last until October 29, with the participation of groups military personnel of the Egyptian and Sudanese border guards. Participating troops attended a number of lectures and performed some practical training aimed at unifying concepts and enhancing skills to boost the troops' ability to secure borders and combat smuggling, infirtlation, and illegal migration activities, making use of state-of-the-art systems and equipment. On Oct.23, Zayed said that Egypt received the third shipment of Pfizer coronavirus vaccine at Cairo airport on Friday comprising 1.4 million doses offered by the US government through the COVAX initiative in cooperation with Gavi, the vaccine alliance. US Ambassador Jonathan R. Cohen had said last week that the Pfizer vaccines are a direct donation from the people of the United States to the people of Egypt. “This is part of eight million Pfizer vaccine doses the United States is sending to Egypt.”The shipments are part of 500 million Pfizer vaccine doses donated by the US to the African Union countries through the COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX). Egypt's first Pfizer vaccines shipment arrived from the US in late September.

The center said in a Saturday statement that it contacted the Supply and Internal Trade Ministry which dismissed the news as baseless. The ministry asserted that all basic food commodities are normally available in markets and large quantities of them are pumped nationwide. The strategic stockpile of basic food commodities is sufficient for several months, it said. A number of countries are commercially dependent for their exports on one or two commodities, and sometimes these commodities may represent 60 percent or more of their total exports.

Egyptian Transport Minister Kamel al-Wazir on Friday inspected work done to establish a longitudinal traffic axis from Benha to Damietta, which will link the Cairo-Alexandria Agricultural Road with the international coastal road at a length of 120 km. Wazir said that the new axis serves the movement of passengers and goods across six governorates in Lower Egypt and the Delta: Qalyubia, Sharqiya, Dakahlia, Damietta, Gharbia, and Kafr el-Sheikh, as the road passes directly through three of the capitals of the six governorates – Banha, Mansoura and Damietta. He added that the distance from Mansoura to Damietta will be expanded by 50 kilometers by two lanes, so that the road will be two lanes in each direction. Its benefits will include raising the quality of service, facilitating the movement of people, transporting goods between the governorates of the Delta and solving traffic jams at the entrances to cities and villages located on the road to achieve the required traffic liquidity. During his tour, Wazir checked on the construction of ten overhead bridges along the road, as these bridges contribute to the abolition of surface intersections, bringing traffic fluidity on the road, ending traffic jams, preventing overcrowding and reducing traffic accidents in the areas of bridges.

CAIRO – 22 October 2021: Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf (Endowment) ordered to reopen toilets at the mosques for only 15 minutes before the time of prayers, after they were closed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic. “Toilets in mosques should be opened 15 minutes before the call to prayer, and then closing them as soon as the prayer ends with the closure of the mosque,” says the decision, which was issued on Wednesday. As for Friday prayers, the ministry added that the toilets will be opened 30 minutes before the first call to prayer, and then to be closed immediately after the end of the prayer with the closure of the mosque. On March 19, 2020, the Awqaf Ministry called on all imams (preachers) to shorten Friday prayers as much as possible. Since then, mosques closed all toilets and abulation areas outside prayers' times.
