The government-controlled oil marketing company, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), has increased the price of its 14.2-litre LPG cylinder by Rs 60 for domestic consumers and Rs 115 for commercial users. With 332 million LPG consumers in the country, the lion's share goes to domestic consumers, and the PSUs determine the prices. As about 332 million domestic consumers are dependent on PSU-supplied LPG, the government has limited options if the crisis deepens. If the government decides to pass on the hike in the prices to consumers, the domestic cylinder price may soon touch Rs 900 and may further escalate to Rs 1,300 per. However, if the crisis deepens further, the LPG price may go up to Rs 1,700 per cylinder for domestic consumers.

Delhi Holi death: A 26-year-old man, Tarun was lynched in a clash that was allegedly triggered by a dispute between two families from different communities over a water balloon, in Uttam Nagar's JJ Colony area on Holi, Wednesday, according to police. Tarun’s father, Memraj, reportedly said the altercation began after a balloon filled with coloured water accidentally fell on a woman from another community. What happened in Uttam Nagar on Holi? संवाद सूत्र, सफीदों (जींद)। शहर की गीता कॉलोनी में शनिवार दोपहर को रंग-गुलाल बनाने की फैक्ट्री में भीषण आग लग गई। इसमें पांच महिला मजदूरों की मौत हो गई, जबकि 12 अन्य गंभीर रूप से झुलस गए। इनमें से एक घायल का नागरिक अस्पताल सफीदों में इलाज चल रहा है। चार को पीजीआई रोहतक, एक को हिसार और छह को मेडिकल कॉलेज खानपुर रेफर किया गया है।फैक्ट्री में रंग-गुलाल में बारूद के साथ केमिकल का प्रयोग किया जाता था। आग लगने के कारणों का पता नहीं लग पाया है। सूचना के बाद डीसी, एसपी समेत पूरा प्रशासनिक अमला मौके पर पहुंच गया है। एसपी के निर्देश पर मामला दर्ज किया गया। गीता कालोनी के रिहायशी इलाके में डेढ़ साल से अवैध फैक्टरी चल रही थी। इसमें 20 लोग काम करते थे। इनमें पांच पुरुष और 15 महिलाएं शामिल हैं।फैक्ट्री में जब आग लगी तो बारूद और केमिकल के कारण भड़क गई। जान बचाने के लिए तीन महिलाएं छत पर चढ़ी और कूद गई। इस कारण तीनों सुरक्षित बच गई। 17 लोग आग की चपेट में आए। इनमें चार महिलाओं की मौके पर मौत हो गई। बाकी घायलों को नागरिक अस्पताल सफीदों में लाया गया।यहां से अलग-अलग जगह रेफर किया गया। इनमें से दो महिलाओं की हालत काफी गंभीर बताई जा रही है। एक युवक की हालत ठीक होने के कारण उसे सफीदों में ही दाखिल किया गया। सफीदों के वार्ड 10 निवासी राजू फैक्टरी को मकान में चला रहा था। फैक्टरी में किसी प्रकार के सुरक्षा उपकरण नहीं थे।इन महिलाओं की गई जान हादसे में गांव सिंघपुरा निवासी 51 वर्षीय पिंकी, सफीदों के वार्ड नंबर नौ निवासी 50 वर्षीय गुड्डी, डिग्गी मोहल्ला निवासी 40 वर्षीय पूजा, आदर्श कालोनी निवासी 45 वर्षीय ऊषा की मौत हो गई। एक अन्य महिला की भी मौत हुई है, लेकिन अभी तक उसकी पहचान नहीं हुई है।ये लोग हुए घायल आदर्श कालोनी निवासी रानी, जगबीर, शिव कालोनी निवासी कश्मीरी देवी, गीता कालोनी निवासी कमलेश, बिमला, करनाल के निसिंग निवासी पवन समेत 12 मजदूर बुरी तरह झुलस गए हैं। फैक्ट्री के मुख्य गेट पर लगा था ताला आसपास के लोगों ने बताया कि फैक्टरी के मुख्य गेट पर ताला लगा हुआ था। जब लोगों ने चीख-पुकार सुनी और धुआं उठता देखा तो लोग फैक्टरी की तरफ दौड़े। मेन गेट पर ताला लगा देख दीवार तोड़कर कुछ लोगों को बाहर निकला। जब तक उन्हें बाहर निकाला गया, वे बुरी तरह से झुलस चुके थे।सुबह-दोपहर-शाम को ही खुलता था ताला गीता कालोनी निवासी रामनिवास ने बताया कि सुबह जब मजदूर फैक्टरी में जाते थे तो उस समय ताला खोल दिया जाता था। इसके बाद जब वो दोपहर को भोजन के लिए बाहर आते या फिर शाम को छुट्टी करके आते तो उसी समय ताला खोला जाता था। पूरा दिन फैक्टरी के मुख्य गेट पर ताला लगा रहता था।पटाखों जैसे बनाए जाते थे उत्पाद सूत्रों के अनुसार, फैक्टरी वैसे तो रंग-गुलाल बनाने की थी, लेकिन यहां पर पटाखों की तरह उत्पाद बनाए जाते थे। जब इनमें आग लगाई जाती थी तो यह अलग-अलग रंग बिखेरते थे। इनको फाक कलर भी बोलते हैं। इसलिए इसमें बारूद व कैमिकल का प्रयोग होता था।
