Legendary BBC sitcom Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps is 'set to make a comeback' 15 years after it ended. The hit series, which starred Sheridan Smith, Will Mellor and Ralf Little is the latest nostalgic show from the noughties to be given a second life. Reports of a reboot comes after its creator Susan Nickson successfully obtained the rights to the show from the BBC. A TV insider said: 'Bagging the rights is crucial as it allows the show to be pitched elsewhere. 'The sitcom is sex-and-booze-heavy and that's just not where the woke BBC are heading right now.'

“We were very confident today with him and Grey Dawning is a very good horse and Venetia’s (Williams, L’Homme Presse) horse has made him fight, it was no walkover. She said: “If you go back to the King George last season we were ahead of Spillane’s Tower off levels but we were giving him 6lb today. I didn’t stop yelling for him all the way up the run-in and I knew if L’Homme Presse was neck-and-neck up the run-in he would have every chance. He said: “I did wonder how I would feel if he got beat and I’m disappointed to get beat but I’m not disappointed with the overall feel of the race. “We felt coming into the race Spillane’s Tower would be the one to beat but I’m not discouraged for March.

Calls for a formal investigation into the ABC have escalated after the national broadcaster aired a satirical Australia Day special that critics say attacked national institutions and crossed editorial and classification boundaries. The 30-minute program Always Was Tonight, hosted by former AFL player Tony Armstrong, premiered this week ahead of January 26. 'Now our national broadcaster is further fuelling division in our communities with this rubbish.' Throughout the episode, Armstrong returned repeatedly to January 26, joking that Australia Day was 'not a date to celebrate'. One recurring segment, Captain Cooks, saw Armstrong searing steaks at a barbecue while suggesting Australia Day gatherings would be 'ruined' if discussions of genocide were raised.

As she bonds with the bird, her teaching suffers – and so does her personal hygiene – making H Is For Hawk an increasingly challenging watch. Mr Trump also withdrew an invitation for Canada to join his so-called Board of Peace a week after Mr Carney had signed on to it. Mr Trump said Canada opposes his planned “Golden Dome” missile-defence project, though it’s unclear if that is actually Ottawa’s position.
