The European Parliament urged Wednesday the Libyan authorities to cancel the 2019 Turkey-Libya Memorandum of Understanding on the delimitation of maritime jurisdictions in the Mediterranean Sea. The Nigeria Immigration Service in Jigawa State has reportedly rescued eight Libya-bound victims of human trafficking. This was made known by the NIS Comptroller in the state, Ahmad Bagari, during a press briefing in the Dutse. He said the victims, consisting five males and three females, were rescued along the Kaya-Daurawa-Roni link road on Sunday. Bagari said the victims hailed from Abia, Edo, Imo and Ogun states, while the driver of the vehicle hailed from Achilafiya town, in the Yankwashi Local Government Area of the state. The Comptroller identified the victims as Nosa Isaac, 45, Emanuel Ogur, 37, Abdulwasiu Oladokun, 36, Blessing John, 28, Etiosa Henry, 24, Osagie Francis, 20, Faith Moses, 20, and Success Jacob, 19.

Libya's interior and justice ministries have agreed to launch a joint project for the development of juvenile justice, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) says. The UN organization disclosed that the project comes in the framework of a cooperation agreement between the UNDP, UNICEF, and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime to protect children's rights with the support of the European Union. According to the UNDP, the program's goal is to provide adequate access to all children in Libya before the law, including those deprived of their liberty.

Ms Daley, 44, last saw her children when Mr Aljehani came to pick them up from their home in Wythenshawe on July 30. The Women and Children Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) held on Monday the Governor of the Central Bank, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir, responsible for the death of nine children of tumors in the Benghazi Children's Medicine and Surgery Hospital. The committee called on the relevant responsible authorities to take the necessary measures against everyone who failed to perform their duties toward those children, who died as a result of negligence, and the lack of responsibility from the relevant authority, calling for an urgent investigation in this regard. The Health Ministry called on the legislative and supervisory authorities to intervene to obligee the Central Bank to open the necessary letters of credit and to send children with tumors abroad fast to receive the needed treatment, saying it was not responsible for any delay in this regard. The Minister of Health in the government designated by the House of Representatives, Othman Abdeljalil, decided on September 11 to treat 61 children with tumors and transplant bone marrow abroad. This was decided on his visit to the hospital in Benghazi at the time.

The Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections (CCMCE) has announced the launch of the new voter registration system and the opening of registration in 12 municipalities. The CCMCE confirmed that voter registration is carried out using the phone number linked to the national number, as the voter registration system was linked to the data of citizens subscribed to Libyana and Al-Madar networks in cooperation with the General Authority for Information and Civil Status Authority. It urged citizens who wish to exercise their electoral right and who were previously registered to re-register through the new system by sending a text message.

The General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) Filed Marshal Khalifa Haftar assured the Libyan people that “their army is ready to assume full national responsibility, despite the unjust ban on arming the military.”“Our army is loyal to God and the people and has no other purpose other than to defend the homeland and protect the people,” said Haftar addressing community leaders in Sirte city. “The army will only follow a higher leadership elected directly by the people,” LNA Commander added. “We salute the soldiers and officers of our armed forces who were able to restore security and stability to the dear city of Sirte,” Haftar pointed out.
