Ten women from the Manikanta SHG decided to establish a turmeric oil plant in their village. Numerous health benefitsHighlighting the environmental benefits of the initiative, Soma tells TNIE that traditionally, after harvesting, farmers burn the turmeric leaves, causing harm to the environment. Soma says that from the next season, they will start preparations for producing large quantities of turmeric essential oil and also decide on pricing for the market. Furthermore, some turmeric farmers in the district are hopeful about the establishment of more value-added product units following the announcement of the National Turmeric Board by the Union government.

Delhi court asks NIA to respond to Engineer Rashid's interim bail plea by July 1

GST Council recommends uniform rate of 12% on all milk cans
In order to reduce government litigations, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said the GST Council has fixed a monetary limit for filing appeals by the tax department before the various appellate authorities. The Tax Authority would generally not go for an appeal if the monetary limit is less than the prescribed by the GST Council. The Council has also recommended that the maximum amount for pre-deposit for filing appeal before the appellate authority be reduced from Rs 25 crore CGST and Rs 25 crore SGST to Rs 20 crore CGST and Rs 20 crore SGST, she said. The Finance Minister also informed that services provided by the Indian railways like sale of platform tickets, facility of retiring rooms, waiting rooms, are exempted from GST. Additionally, she said, the Council has exempted services by way of hostel accommodation outside educational institutions to tune Rs 20,000 per person per month.

हरदोई में व्यापारी के गले से लूटी चेन, VIDEO:बदमाशों का पीछा करते हुए पीड़ित जमीन पर गिर गया।हरदोई में बेनीगंज कोतवाली क्षेत्र के कोथावां कस्बे में तड़के सुबह दो अज्ञात बदमाशों ने चेन स्नेचिंग की घटना को अंजाम दिया। इसके बाद मोटरसाइकिल से फरार हो गए। सूचना पर पहुंची पुलिस घटना की जांच में जुटी है। आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरे खंगाले गए तो पूरी घ. कोथावां निवासी सुरेश कुमार अवस्थी पुत्र बाबूराम खाद के कारोबारी हैं। वह सुबह 5 बजे कोथावां स्थित निजी मकान से अपने पिता के घर आए थे और गैराज में दाखिल होकर घर की तरफ जा रहे थे। दो बाइक पर सवार बदमाश पीछा करके उनके घर के पास आ गए, जिसमें एक बदमाश ने घर के अन्दर घुसकर झपट्टा मारा और चेन लूटकर भाग निकला।घर वालों ने आवाज सुनकर लुटेरे को दौड़ाया तब तक पहले से स्टार्ट खड़ी मोटरसाइकिल पर बैठ कर दोनों बदमाश सण्डीला की तरफ भाग निकले। घटनाक्रम की जानकारी परिजनों ने कोथावां चौकी इंचार्ज को दी। चौकी प्रभारी विजय कुमार ने घटनास्थल की जांच की। वहीं पुलिस सीसीटीवी फुटेज के आधार पर लुटेरों की तलाश कर रही है।बाइक से दोनों बदमाश भाग गए।फुटेज से पहचान कर रही पुलिसपीड़ित ने कोतवाली बेनीगंज में तहरीर देकर मामले में मुकदमा दर्ज कर कार्रवाई की मांग की है। कोतवाल संजय त्यागी ने बताया कि चेन स्नेचिंग की घटना की जानकारी मिली थी। सीसीटीवी कैमरे के फुटेज देखकर लुटेरों की पहचान की जा रही है। तहरीर के आधार पर मुकदमा दर्ज कर घटना को अंजाम देने वाले बदमाशों पर कठोर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

China to punish ‘diehards’ of Taiwan independence
