The total estimated spend of £6billion will also mark an increase of £400million on 2019, when it was expected £5.6billion would be spent. Elsewhere, millennials plan to spend the most with an average spend of £372 while the younger Generation Z plan to part with only £130 on Black Friday. The research also found Londoners intend to spend the most on November 27 - with the average spend around £126 above the national average. 'While this does appear to be the case in the sense that the number of people participating is predicted to decrease, overall spend is actually set to be higher.
