Allison Jones, a casting director for the “Barbie” movie, told Vanity Fair recently that a few beloved celebs narrowly missed playing Kens in Greta Gerwig’s box office smash. Ultimately, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ncuti Gatwa, Scott Evans and John Cena scored roles as Kens in the film. It also seems that another actor was eyeing the role of Allan, a character played in the movie by Michael Cera. Robbie was so ardent about Gosling playing her rollerblading bud that Gerwig said she had to rein Robbie in a bit. “In the end, I promised Ryan a present every day if he did the movie,” Robbie admitted.
