Ice-cream in leaf bowls? Puzzled by the concept, I paid a visit to Shmoozies, an icecream café tucked away in an less-known corner of Egmore. Founded by Kshama Adka, Shmoozies uses sugarcane-based products in a big way. Ice cream and other products are served in leaf bowls and plates made of sugarcane chaff. “We are also planning to introduce a point system for customers to return food-grade half- and one-litre boxes.
