Fable 3 MicrosoftI keep forgetting that we’re operating under the reality that Fable 4 has actually not been officially announced yet by Microsoft, despite it being something of an open secret. But thanks to a new listing on Mixer, the Microsoft-owned streaming service, we may have our first look at confirmation. When you search for games to say you’re streaming on Mixer, Fable IV is actually listed as an option. Once upon a time, Fable was probably the third most valuable Microsoft IP besides Halo and Gears of War, but after Fable 3, the IP went stagnant, reduced to an on-rails Kinect game and the failed hero/MOBA type game, Fable Legends, which was ultimately cancelled. But now it seems as if Microsoft wants to build a “true” Fable game again, and what form that takes exactly under Playground Games is unclear.
