more-inThe South Indian Artistes’ Association, popularly known as Nadigar Sangam, has filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking a direction to the Kancheepuram district crime branch police to register a case against its former office-bearers Radha Ravi, R. Sarath Kumar, K.R. Natesan for having “fraudulently” sold 26 cents of land owned by the association at Vedamangalam village. Ramesh on Thursday directed a government counsel to obtain instructions from the police and adjourned the hearing by a week. The entire process was carried out without the knowledge of the other members of the association, the petitioner alleged. The association also alleged that the police were reluctant to register a First Information Report (FIR).
