Humanity is considering the possibility of reflecting some of the sun’s rays away from planet Earth so that Earth can cool down. Step 1: Humans continue to burn unbelievable amounts of fossil fuels: oil, coal, and natural gas. The rock is fossil fuels – Humanity seems unable to stop burning fossil fuels. Ending the use of fossil fuels is the obvious thing to do, but it appears that humanity if irretrievably addicted to fossil fuels at least in the short term.
