Last week, McEntee said as many as 2,000 Irish people had registered with her department and were actively trying to leave the Gulf region as violence escalated. In a post on X on Wednesday night, McEntee said: “Welcome home to all passengers on our second Government charter flight from the Gulf region which has landed safely at Dublin Airport.
