✉ In September we booked a family holiday to Mallorca for July through Tui, paying a deposit of £600 in instalments. At the end of January our five-year-old daughter was devastatingly diagnosed with cancer and faces many months of treatment, meaning we can no longer travel. My husband visited our local Tui shop in February to explain the situation and cancel the holiday. While we appreciate Tui doesn’t refund deposits, we’re upset that it so quickly took our money and didn’t give us the best advice. Judith BrownI was so sorry to hear about your daughter’s diagnosis, and a dispute with Tui over a holiday refund is plainly the last thing you need at this horribly stressful time.
