PhotoSeason 3, Episode 11: ‘Uncharted’Claire’s blue riding habit has been her uniform for the better part of six episodes, and it has served as a metaphor for the season itself. Claire spends quite a bit of time trying to survive in the wild, from finding water to the ants (dear God, the ants). Like most stories about trying to survive alone against nature, this is partially to show how tough and determined Claire can be in a crisis. Unlike with most of those stories, though, Claire doesn’t journey very far into her own mind. Usually, you can tell what function a character is supposed to serve in Jamie’s or Claire’s life.
