‘Persons of interest’ confirmed out of country

PETALING JAYA: Several individuals flagged as persons of interest in the investigation into a bid to topple the government and sabotage national stability have left the country, says Bukit Aman. Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Comm Datuk M. Kumar said in a statement yesterday that this matter was confirmed after checks with the Immigration Department. “It has been confirmed that several key witnesses have left Malaysia through the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) between January and February. “The public is advised not to make any speculation regarding this case to respect the principles of criminal justice in this country,” he said. Last week, Na’imah and her sons filed a lawsuit against the government over what they claimed to be an unlawful investigation against them.
