Police say the accuse­d has confes­sed to sexual­ly assaul­ting and murder­ing the fourth-grader­MARDAN: Police have arrested a man for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl before brutally killing her and dumping her body in a drain in Mardan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Once established that the girl was murdered, the police changed the angle of their investigation to get to the killer. The alleged killer has been identified as Akhtar Hussain who, according to the police, has confessed to his crime. Akhtar admitted in his confessional statement that the girl visited his place on March 26 while his wife was not at home. He confessed to sexually assaulting the girl who, according to the killer, died during the act.
