more-inThe High Court on Friday sought the response of the Delhi government and the Centre on a plea alleging an “alarmingly uneven distribution” of science and commerce streams in government schools here. The Bench asked the governments and the CBSE to file affidavits and posted the mater for hearing on November 28. The plea, filed by Yusuf Naqi, said the allocation of science and commerce streams were done in an uneven manner which cannot be justified, thus causing grave injustice and prejudice to the pupils here. “There 41 government schools in central Delhi, of which only two offer the science stream throughout the entire district. Whereas in the north-east district of Delhi, 18 schools of 38 offer science stream at intermediate level,” the plea claimed.
