Everyone in asylum hotels – which are targets for the far right – is waiting to be processed. There has been a rush by Labour to recruit Home Office decision-makers – staff who rule whether someone stays in Britain or is deported. That means people are left in asylum hotels and are “targets for the far right and unable to move on with their lives. It’s a perfect target for the far right.” There were 400 asylum hotels at their peak, and now there’s just over 200.
