‘Unfortunate’ airport incident rules Louis Oosthuizen out of Joburg Open

An unfortunate airport incident has ruled home favourite Louis Oosthuizen out of this week’s Joburg Open, writes Stephen Barry. Coming into the South African tournament in good form, disaster struck the 2010 Open champion upon touching down on home soil on Monday. He got his finger jammed in a luggage trolley at the airport and the swelling has left him unable to grip a club. Even after the cancellation of Tuesday’s pro-am event bought him more time to recover, Oosthuizen isn’t fit to tee off tomorrow. “The body feels great but I had a different incident this week with jamming my fingers in trolleys at the airport,” he told EuropeanTour.com.
