Nepal’s Communist Party leader and former prime minister, KP Sharmaori, joined the election campaign in the Dharchula district of western Nepal. Deuba said of the campaign that problems in Lipulek, Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and other regions would be resolved through diplomatic initiatives. However, after Sharma Oli was elected Prime Minister of Nepal, relations between the two countries suffered a bit of a rift.
