Races from the Haskell undercard at Monmouth, including four other graded stakes, will be shown on TVG. Hot Rod Charlie (6-5) will likely be the fourth straight post time favorite in the Haskell to close less than even money. Include Hot Rod Charlie in Exacta and Pick 4 wagering, along with Midnight Bourbon, who couldn’t catch Hot Rod Charlie in the Louisiana Derby in March. Midnight Bourbon is plenty capable of winning, and offers better value for the risk/reward challenge to Hot Rod Charlie, or even Kentucky Derby runner-up Mandaloun.
