Though there are other allegations against him including his reported involvement in casino-related activities, extortion and other misdeeds, he is being expelled for being absent at DSCC meetings. The problem is, there are at least 18 other DSCC councillors who were also absent from three to eight board meetings. Apparently, AKM MominulHuq Sayed, councilor of ward 9, was present at only six board meetings out of 19. On Jun 25, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Chief Executive Mostafizur Rahman wrote to the secretary of the local government division for an official action against Sayed.
