MANILA, Philippines — A security guard was killed and seven others were injured after a public utility van fell into a curve at a highway in Barangay Culianan, Zamboanga City on Thursday, police said. A report from Zamboanga police identified the fatality as Jose Sony Veleriano Falmes. According to police, the road was slippery due to rain. Police said the injured victims were brought to Zamboanga City Medical Center for treatment, while the driver of the PUV was brought to Zamboanga City Police Station 4 pending the filing of charges in court.
