A scene from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The films and books have been targeted by counterfeiters ALAMYAlmost 10,000 fake Harry Potter wands, cloaks and other paraphernalia were seized in a raid by Spanish police on a toy shop. Among the haul were Harry Potter costumes, wigs and a replica of Hedwig, the boy wizard’s owl. Lamps, bags and pencil cases with logos connected to the adventures in Hogwarts, the school for wizards, were on sale. A 38-year-old Spanish woman, who managed the shop in Barcelona, was arrested and faces charges of industrial falsification — the Spanish equivalent of counterfeiting.
