KATHMANDU, March 16: On the occasion of the 116th International Women’s Day, 10 influential women were honored in Kathmandu for their contributions across diverse fields. The recognition and felicitation program was organized by the Housewives Women Association Nepal, with support from Kathmandu World School and The Plaza, celebrating some of the country’s most prominent female personalities. She stressed society’s responsibility to acknowledge women’s invaluable contributions with pride. Chief guest Chadani Joshi, reflecting on her 60 years of experience, noted that while women’s living standards have improved over time, many women still face disadvantages. She called for continued efforts to support women in raising their voices and securing their rights.
