Back in 2014, I finally fulfilled my childhood dream of visiting the majestic Angkor Wat. Little did I know that during the trip to Cambodia, I would encounter one of the eeriest experiences of my life. Our hotel in Siem Reap was a three-star accommodation located a stone’s throw away from Pub Street, a renowned nightlife strip. It wasn’t the swankiest hotel, but the place was comfortable and clean enough.
