11 demands granted after debate in Assembly


He stated this while replying the debate on demands for Housing Department, wherein several legislators pointed out that lack of government lands in many villages and urban areas was delaying grounding of the scheme. In all, the Assembly granted 11 demands on minorities welfare, school education, higher education, technical education, housing, social welfare, tribal welfare, backward classes welfare, women, child and disabled welfare, sports and youth services and medical and health with a total outlay of about ₹54,052 crore. Mahamood Ali, K. Srihari, J. Ramanna, G. Jagadish Reddy, A. Indrakaran Reddy, A. Chandulal, Tummala Nageswara Rao and C. Laxma Reddy replied to the debate. Minister for Backward Classes Welfare Mr. Ramanna stated that the government was examining re-inclusion of 26 communities removed from the backward classes list. He also stated that the government was also planning to provide civil services examination coaching to 500 candidates from backward classes in private coaching centres.
