11 men, woman held over vandalism, threats against ‘Cikgu Chandra’


SHAH ALAM: Police have arrested 11 men and a woman to assist in investigations into acts of vandalism and criminal intimidation against activist S. Chandrasegaran, also known as “Cikgu Chandra”, in Taman Kinrara, Puchong. “All the suspects detained are aged between 30 and 40, and of that number, seven have been identified as having direct links to the incidents under investigation. In the same operation, police also seized three cars and two motorcycles believed to have been used during the incidents. Checks showed that five of the seven suspects still in custody have prior criminal records, while preliminary urine screening tests conducted on all suspects were negative for drugs. “A woman who was detained is the wife of one of the suspects involved and has been released on police bail,” he said.
