DHAKA, Sept 6, 2023 (BSS) - The 12th death anniversary of Sayem-ur RahmanSayem, the only son of Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Advocate JahangirKabir Nanak, was observed today through various programmes. The programmes included holding discussions, visiting Sayem's grave at Bananigraveyard, offering doa-mahfils and arranging Khatam-e-Quran in differentmosques. Marking the anniversary, the deceased's family members including JahangirKabir Nanak and his wife Advocate Arjuman Banu Nargis visited the Bananigraveyard in the capital and later, a special prayer was offered thereseeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Sayem. The Sayem Memorial Foundation organised a doa and milad-mahfil at SuchanaCommunity Centre in the city's Shyamoli area after Asr prayers. Sayem died in a road accident on September 6 in 2011 in Cox's Bazar.
