Peter Dada, AkureAn Ondo State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Akure, on Tuesday, ordered the remand of 13 persons for allegedly looting a church, Sotitobire Praise Chapel, Oshinle, Akure. The defendants, who were arraigned by the state police command, included Udeme Eyo, Ikechukwu Njoku, Ayodimeji Jimoh, Bamisaye Ojo, Balogun Ayomide and Steve Adekunle. Others are Sesan Agbi, Stephen Omotosho, James Omogbolahan, Ademola Aderibigbe, Rotimi Oluwadare, Ayo Ifedayo and Samuel Shitu. The founder of the church, Alfa Babatunde, and six other members had been arraigned before the same court on Monday for allegedly aiding the kidnapping of the boy. The suspected looters were arraigned on six counts bordering on murder, arson, theft and vandalism.
