She started recycling her red carpet dresses in 2012 when she wore a beautiful long-sleeved black lace Alexander McQueen evening gown for the War Horse Premiere. In November of that year, Kate wore the same gorgeous black lace dress again when she attended a dinner for St Andrews Anniversary Appeal. The Princess of Wales wore her repurposed Alexander McQueen one-shouldered dress with black opera gloves to the Baftas this year (right), she also wore the same dress to the awards in 2019 (left)The Princess of Wales in Roland Mouret. Kate previously spoke about her views on the environment when presenting an award at the Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony in 2021. She teamed the elegant gown with trendy black opera gloves and a black clutch bag and ultimately gave her old dress and new lease of life.
