Berkshire Hathaway’s high static ratio is over 80%, but the median static ratio for these high metabolic players ran closer to 20%. Carl Icahn, at least, carries a high static ratio, at 69%. I’m more a big-cap player - Amazon, Facebook and JPMorgan Chase. Appaloosa Management is still floundering with a 9% static ratio and a bad acting 23% position in Micron Technology. This is more than I see for the stock market which sells near 18 times earnings, an historically high and hazardous valuation.
