MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Friday said 14,131 drivers nationwide had so far received payouts from the government’s service contracting program, or around a quarter of its initial target of 60,000 driver-beneficiaries. As of June 10, the LTFRB has disbursed P859.9 million from the P5.58-billion budget for service contracting that the Department of Transportation received last year under the Bayanihan 2 law.
