By Daniel Kalung’eEighteen Ethiopian nationals and six Eritreans were arrested on Saturday at Urura village in Merti Sub-county, Isiolo County for allegedly entering the country illegally. According to Merti Deputy County Commissioner Julius Maiyo, the foreigners were heading to Nairobi when they were arrested following a tip-off from local residents. The deputy county commissioner said the vehicle that the suspects were using had broken down on the road when they were nabbed. The 24 foreigners were detained at Merti Police Station and are set to be arraigned on Monday.
