The training was organized by the Youth Media Action (YMA). He further said that in spite of the difficulties faced by the Liberian media, the youth must remain steadfast if they are to enter the profession. He thanked the organizers of the training for helping to enhance the development of the sector. Based on the capacity gap and brain drain of young people who seek journalism as a career, the YMA stands to create the platform to empower them before college. YMA said it will work with high schools through their press clubs to train and empower them so that their stories can appear in the media.
