2 GTA synagogues hit by gunfire overnight, police investigate

Toronto and York police are investigating after 2 GTA synagogues were struck by gunfire in the early hours of Saturday. It comes just days after another North York synagogue, the Temple Emanu-El, was also shot at on Monday. Officers discovered bullet holes in the front door of a building, but no injuries were reported, said police on social media. Beth Avraham Yosef of Toronto synagogue in Vaughan was one of two synagogues that were shot late Friday night. In a post to social media, Prime Minister Mark Carney said the incidents are "fundamental violations of the Canadian way of life."
