The errant policemen identified as Sub Inspector Saiful Alam and Constable Saiful Islam were arrested on Thursday night. The incident came to light when the victim lodged a case with the Sitakunda Model police station against two policemen and three informants. Confirming the matter, Chittagong Superintendent of Police (SP) SM Rashidul Haque that the two policemen were arrested for being charged with mugging a businessman. Later, the policemen snatched Tk2.8 lakh from Jafar’s possession and let him go.
