Two former leaders at a civil verdict enforcement agency in the southern province of Dong Nai have been accused of embezzling billions of dong. Vo Nhat Tan, 49, former head of Long Thanh Civil Verdict Enforcement Agency and his deputy Nguyen Van Thuc, 50, were arrested on Wednesday, local media reported. Truong Thi Ngoc Diem, the agency’s former chief accountant, is also investigated on charges of “abuse of power" without detention. After collecting money from relevant people, they deposited it in several bank accounts, instead of sending it to the right recipients. Investigators said the trio had taken more than VND3.6 billion (US$161,500) and were unable to return the money.
