BigstockThe girl was abducted in 2006 and then rescued by the policeA Jessore court has sentenced two people, each, to 14 years of imprisonment for abducting a schoolgirl in 2006. After examining records and consulting witnesses, the Jessore Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge TM Musa handed down the verdict on Wednesday, reports UNB. The convicts are Wasim Sheikh, son of Ibad Ali Babul Morol. The court also fined the two convicts Tk10,000 each, or in default, to suffer two more years of rigorous imprisonment. However, the court acquitted the two other accused as the allegations brought against them were not proven.
