2 more arrested for allegedly impersonating police


Police in Gatineau, Que., say they stopped a police impersonation fraud in progress on Tuesday. Officers arrived and arrested two young men from the Montreal area. They now face several charges including impersonating an officer, fraud, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. Tips from policeGatineau police told CBC they opened 50 cases involving fake police calls in February, often targeting seniors. Police say to ignore pressure to share sensitive information, and ignore caller ID that looks like it's coming from police because that information can be faked.
