General News of Wednesday, 1 April 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comTwo officials have been summoned by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament over monies received for a project that was never executed. The two, identified as Bright Oduro Kwarteng and Theophilus Okine, are reported to have made claims amounting to GH¢8.2 million for the construction of household toilet facilities under the former Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources’ “Toilet for All” project. He noted that Theophilus Okine is currently with the Ministry of Defence, while Bright Oduro Kwarteng now serves as Director of Finance at the Ministry of Trade and Agribusiness. The Director for Procurement was one Mr Theophilus Okine, who is at the Ministry of Defence. The other is one Bright Oduro Kwarteng, who is now Director of Finance at the Ministry of Trade and Agribusiness.
