Two longtime public officials in Moorpark are vying to represent the Simi Valley-Moorpark area on the Board of Supervisors, which oversees the 10,000-employee county government. Moorpark Mayor Janice Parvin and Bernardo Perez, a trustee for the Ventura County Community College District, are on the November ballot after surviving the crowded primary in June.
