Visuals of the event showed the two kings, who were meeting for the first time since King Charles took over from his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, exchanging pleasantries. The two men were pictured with Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Commonwealth Secretary-General, who was holding her first Commonwealth Day celebration. The statement added that "for the Ga Mantse, these engagements transcend symbolism to reflect a leadership style rooted in openness, partnership, and long-term vision.
