Eric Ayala led Maryland with 23 points, while Aaron Wiggins finished with 14 and Donta Scott added 12. Maryland shot 51 percent from the field and hit nine of its 18 three-point attempts. Ayala made his third three-pointer of the night with 15:10 remaining, and Scott and Wiggins each followed with dunks on consecutive possessions to give Maryland a 47-34 lead. The Huskies made just one field goal over the next seven minutes — a Bouknight layup with 9:48 left — and Wiggins hit another three-pointer as the Terps took a 53-41 lead with seven minutes remaining.
